WHAT IS THE CHARTER ALL ABOUT?
Nautic Charter consists on reting a boat for a determined period previusly agreed.

SOULD AGE AND PARTICULARITIES OF THE CREW BE CONSIDERED WHEN CHOOSING BOAT AND NAVIGATION AREA?
Yes. Any information regarding group particularities is alwais usefull in order to fit the charter confitions to the customer requirements.

IS THERE ANY MINIMUM PERIOD FOR CHARTER?
High demanded seasons -spring and summer- minimum periods are usually a week, boarding Saturday and usually returning the following Friday in most cases sleeping on board that last night. Low demanded season does not suppose any minimum period for chartering.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER DISBURSEMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED WHEN IT COMES TO CHARTERING A BOAT?
Yes. Generally berthing on Marinas,  food and fuel. Regarding standard fleet boats (under 15 metres) these disbursements are usually inmaterial however, regarding bigger boats these extra expenses could become much bigger, expecially for big yachts, big motorboats and very exclusive luxury wachts.

SHOULD I HAVE ANY QUALIFICATION OR EXPERIENCE IN ORDER TO CHARTER A BOAT?
No, it is not neede. Anyone can enyoy the unforgettable experience of being on board for a day, a weekend or a whole week. Skippered charter and, depending on yacht class other crew allows all kind of families and friends to come to sail with us.

COULD WE, IN SKIPPERED CHARTERS, DECIDE ITINERARY AND HOW TO SAIL?
Yes, you can decide where to go and the time schedules, always needing the last opinion of the Skipper regarding tecnical issues and security.

ARE WE SUPPOSED TO HELP DURING THE SAILING?
On boats with just 1 crew (the skipper) isome help could be sometimes required, specially when it comes to mooring or anchoring, and specific maneouvres. Do not worry about this, it happens just occasionally and it is safe and fun. Other cases with a bigger crew on board do not require any help at all.

DOES THE SKIPPER, IN BOATS WITH NO OTHER CREW, HAVE TO ATTEND ANY OTHER SERVICES ON BOARD?
No. Skipper is in charge of navigation and keeping tidy the deck. Interior cleaning, kitchen and any other issue regarding on board services should be completed by the guests. However this does not mean that, as the Skipper is helped every once in a while, he does not help as one more of the crew.

IS IT REQUIRED A SKIPPER QUALIFICATION IN ORDER TO CHARTER A BAREBOAT?
Yes. One people of every group should, at least, be in posession of qualification enough to Bareboat charter. Otherwise, Skippered charter is the only option.

AM I ALLOWED TO CHARTER A BAREBOAT IF LICENSED NO MATTER THE EXPERIENCE ACCUMULATED?
Yes strictly speaking. However, charter companies can require a minimum of experience. It has to be beared in mind that, at sea, conditions and circumstances can very suddenly. Security of the group is the main issue to be considered.

DO BAREBOATS INCLUDE ALL THE EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO SAIL ON BOARD? CUANDO SE ALQUILA UN BARCO SIN TRIPULACION, ¿ENCONTRARE A BORDO TODO EL MATERIAL NECESARIO PARA NAVEGAR?
Yes. All boats are fully equipped and include al materials needed for a safe sailing such as charts, guides,GPS, sonar...

WHY IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED?
As it happens with any other rentals, such as apartments or cars, deposits guarantee the integrity of all the materials supplied and the boat itself as well as the proper and safe use of the boat.

SHOUDL THE BOAT BE TAKEN TO MOORINGS AT NIGHT?SE DEBERA AMARRAR SIEMPRE EN PUERTO?
Definetly not. There are lots of natural moors to anchor throughout the charter and navigation areas. Mooring is a very recomendable experience when chartering a boat.


Boarding Advices

 

ATTITUDE FOR THE TRIP.

A yacht is normally a limitated space where could be important to maintain some convivence rules, tolerancy and positive attitude.
- Being the aim of the trip to enjoy the sailing at its upmost all the crew should be in the best mood as possible.

EQUIPAJE Y ELEMENTOS

- Cap
- Sun glasses
- UV protection
- Sweather, pullover
- Raining coat
- Swimming customs
- Beach Towels
- T-Shirts
- Comfortable shoes (preferable nautic shoes)
- Seasickness tablets (especialy for debutants and people prone to suffer seasickness)
- Flexible suitcases are much more easy to store than rigid ones.

FOOD

- Most of the lunches and half of the dinners will be will be on board.
- Although it is possible to cook normally on board it is highly recomendable to prepare simple meals not too elaborated such as salads, pasta, rice and sanswiches. It is advisable to avoid fried meals so smoke and cooking oils are do not become an accident element.
- All boats incorporate electric fridge, however this usually works whenever the engine is on so do not work as goog as domestic ones. This is something to be considered when purchasing foof befor boarding.
- Regarding wather and refreshments please consider a minimum consumption of 2 liters / person / day.
- At some marinas it is possible order the list of food and water in advance so everything is ready when it comes to boarding.
